Day 241…

…this morning I was able to be a visitor at a friend’s church. It was such a different feeling but a great experience none the less. Stepping away from the things I usually do on Sunday mornings was a bit strange/hard but it was nice to be a part of a new environment for worship and the word.

I was also able to catch up with a friend of mine. It had been a Long time since I had last seen her so that was nice.

I also got to spend some time with grace today [my piano]

Tomorrow marks day 1 of the new school year!!!

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Day 135…

Happy mommy’s day to all you mothers!!

Today I enjoyed a home-cooked meal with my mom and gram at the kitchen table for the first time in a long time!! What a great way to spend a Sunday - after worshiping with some of my favorite K-6th graders and seeing some of my favorite faces as well.

Random moment: my mom was back in her room using the bathroom and my sweet little bella was hanging out in her crate. My mom began singing “Happy Birthday” and the moment Bella heard her, she ran right for the bathroom to meet her and began to sing along. Too cute that bella :):)

Find a reason to smile…

Day 107…

Today, I was tested with disappointment - I failed!! I’m the first one to tell anyone that once someone disappoints me I shut them completely out and pretty throw them in the wind, so to speak…I definitely did that this morning and I am NOT proud of it.
The funny thing is this morning my awesome Pastor recapped on his message from last week that I missed, which talked about how we look at repeated disappointment brings negative expectancy - literally stepped on my toes because I seriously went in that direction.

I am still a work in progress…

My day went on from then with plenty of reasons to smile - one of them being due to one of my youth students. She blessed me with a Tshirt that reads, “church isn’t a place for good people, it’s a hospital for the broken” and a canvas painting that reads, “find a reason to smile”.

She is such an amazing young lady!!

On this 99th day of the year 2012…

I celebrated resurrection day with some “Crazy for Jesus” people that I love!!

Later I spent time with my dear mother and my sweet puppy. While I painted those pair of TOMS, my mom and puppy came outside with me to just hang out. I truly enjoyed that time i was able to spend with my mom, doing something in which I also enjoy.

That has been a GREAT day!! I hope it was for you as well!!

Happy Easter to you all!!

People Get Ready…

Day 74…

Happy pi day to you all!!!

My FAVORITE #smilemoment was brought to me today by my paw paw, yet again :):) I have to say favorite because I have had many today :):)

I went to practice with my mom and pawpaw to get away from the distraction of my GRACE (my piano) so that I could finish grading papers.

Well, this Sunday, my mom and pawpaw are to sing a song together, so they rehearsed that song tonight. Let me just say, the moment my pawpaw’s mouth opened and the beautiful sound came out, my face lit up with the BIGGEST smile!! To have both people whom I love DEARLY singing together brought such joy and happiness to me.

My mom has one of the best singing voices I’ve ever heard and I love to hear my pawpaw sing.

I could seriously go on forever talking about how awesome they sound together!!

One day…I too will sing as well as the two of them :):)

Smiley girl..yes I am!!!
